The Kingdom Tower will be an architectural challenge in many ways. One of the more challenging tasks of it will be the design of the elevators.
It will be John Fortune, the architect who designed the elevators of other supertall skyscrapers like Taipei 101, Crown Tower in Las Vegas and Burj Khalifa, who will design the Kingdom Tower’s elevators too.
Just as in the case of Burj Khalifa in Dubai, James Fortune will collaborate with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture on this project.
James Fortune is the president of the Denver-based “Fortune Consultants” company. Details about the elevators of the Kingdom Tower are not yet made public.
Canadian company, RWDI provides wind analysis for the Kingdom Tower in Jeddah. RWDI also provided wind analysis for the current tallest skyscraper in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
